Reconnecting the hemp industry to American Farmers has never been so in line with time than today in 2018. Since the tariffs on soybeans have begun and tobacco demand has gone down American Farmers have looked for another crop to farm around the country. Not just soy and tobacco but corn as well, looking for a replacement crop that is not dominated by large corporations is not easy. But with hemp and all of its industrial potentials, this is the crop that the American Farmer has been looking for.
“Finally, the U.S. hemp industry is back. A provision in the 2014 farm bill signed by President Obama on Feb. 7 removed hemp grown for research purposes from the Controlled Substances Act, the main federal drug law.”
